Looks like you might have to change the post heading from 1941 to 1940. 😃
My New World has the rear free wheel too. It didn't have a rear hand brake
set up when I picked it up, so I found one and put it on. Stops much better.
Glad to see yours with the rear hand brake calipers. I wasn't sure about how
correct my "addition" was. Those Messinger seats are getting tough to find
in any condition. Cool bike, no doubt. GLWTS.
