Cruisin' on my Bluebird
Super Hard to find
LaRay Company was only in business between 1946-48 Before IRS shutting them Down for back taxes.
Larry and Ray based out of Milwaukee made
Some killer rare powercycles ( small motorcycle versions )

Based on my research they made between 150 to 300 tricycles before closing and this is 1 of them ( can re quote or add if you know more , please )
Most Powercycycle have individual serial number on front Headbadge
Tricycle has the blank for serial number but says Pending
First and only Ive ever seen
Simple frame design , nothing crazy different, just a low production trike
Super heavy duty , original paint , excellent wheels and rear aluminum disc hubcaps.
Great La Ray Badge
20” wheel in front

1 unfortunate booboo .... base of steer tube was broke and re welded as you can see the remnants of the heat on the top of the fork crown
None the less , still a Great surviving example
Top of fork can be easily touched up pending preference!

Love to hear your Feedback

thank you
Mark

Mark, that is a super rare one!!! I've never seen one or even heard of the company before your post.

Dave

Stumbled upon this trike in a antique flea market over the weekend.
Badge , pedals and unique rear caps Intrigued me.
Couldn’t leave her sitting under a box piled with early newspapers
After a night of research I was pretty surprised myself with the history of LaRay
Hope to hear a little more about this short lived company.

Maybe LaRay sits closer to ad with a few changes

Not sure if seat I bought it with was original but definetly spot on correct for era
Maybe they used more than one seat and stem design but with the low production I would question it.
Also stem was in question.
This is the first trike I ever seen with top tube Nut and stem with expanding nut ike a bicycle .

Had a correct era dual spring seat as seen in add
So I added it
Added bars with similar stem as pictured In ad
But is not correct for this threaded nut installation.
display only for now.
