I live for the CABE
Rare 1893 Union Cycles bicycle catalog. 32pgs. Interior is clean with no missing pages. The cover shows some soiling and wear. There is a small piece of the top right corner missing. The spine has been reinforced in the past with tape. This copy is from the Automobile Manufacturers Association (AMA) patent library in Detroit (stamp on back cover). Nice historical piece of an early Massachusetts bicycle manufacturer.
Union had offices in Boston and Springfield, MA. The factory was located in Highlandville (now Needham, MA) from 1890 to 1902. Charles Metz worked at Union before striking out on his own to start Orient Cycles in nearby Waltham.
Some company info here - https://www.wickedlocal.com/story/n...5/needham-history-freedom-bicycle/4138798001/
Fun Fact - The Union P.D.Q - (Pedibus Doubus Quietus) is Latin for resting on two feet.
Asking $75. shipped to conus. PM me if interested. Thanks !
