Finally riding a big boys bike
1899 Shelby Ideal 28" Woman's Wooden Wheel Bicycle, Incredible Original Condition, I think a lot of you have seen this beauty before, either in Trexlertown or on the Cabe. It doesn't get much better in condition on this type bike, but it does have a separation in the seat tube on the frame as shown. In the beginning, Shelby's were well known for there bicycle tubing. Ooops on this one. An early on separation of the tubes helped this bike stay in hardly ridden condition. So now I'd sell it for a $1000 plus the $125 Fed Ex Ground shipping. Or, I'll take enquiries on the parts. I won't sell any of the parts until 80% of them are spoken for. I will include the shipping in the price quotes next to the parts listed. I should say, naturally if you want the whole bike, speak real quick! No tears here. Pedals (225) Seat (it could be a mans in length) (225), Handlebars, gooseneck, and handgrips (225), headbadge (160), wooden rear fender with braces (85), pair of incredible smooth tires but may not hold air (175), pair of great original wheels with hubs spokes and hardware (225), early style block chain if I can get it off by a nut (90), seatpost (40), leather toolbag (50), and whatevers left (160). Needless to say, I hope someone wants to take her home.
