1901 Keating Motorcycle

Still being called a motor bicycle but the frame was specially built to accept the engine. 1901 TheCycle and Trade Review. From the AACA Library, Hershey, PA.

Similar but different Walter Branche found this years ago. Sold it to Jim Dennie in NY He restored the bike. For decades nobody has been able to identify it. The only way that will ever happen is if a piece of literature will be found. The engine cases are cast iron there’s no markings on the bike. It’s elaborately made indicating it was a one of machine. Please keep your eyes peeled for an article or an ad in an old trade journal magazine or sales brochure.

Here it is Mark. It was an impressive machine “as found” for the $400 Walter paid for it. It looks like it was just lacking the rubber; aged grips and tires would have made it stellar.
