Finally riding a big boys bike
I’m gonna pull this one down from the “I probably shouldn’t” shelf. Priorities have shifted, time to turn it loose.
$1350 includes the flight to CONUS. PayPal F&F or add 3%. No dreamers, No layaway, no free financing, no holds.
24” seat tube. Its been mocked up, and pedaled once, twice around the basement. I never reached the "rider" stage so I can't really comment on its handling.
All the key frameset specific pieces are present and in good shape....no lengthy searches for that “one last piece”. I’m offering everything that I have that I think is original to the bike.
Frameset is mostly straight. Has a minor ding in down tube. Left fork blade is a little off center. Nothing major. About 30% of original paint remains, original color was medium brown with gold pins. Loose ball headset is complete, turns smoothly with nice nickel on fork and headset bits. Cushion strut has nice nickel, and appears to be complete. Spring plate appears to be solid.
Cranks/pedals - big chainring, nice nickel, split bottom bracket shell (pat date 1888), BB spins super smooth. Also, includes worlds sexiest set of Monarch rat trap pedals. Men’s, complete, nice nickel, spin ok...Feels like dry bearings.
Bars/stem/grips - Bar/stem is threaded at clamp area, and bars can be flipped. Lots of thick nickel remaining. OG Leather wrapped grips in very nice condition, missing one ferrule.
Saddle/post - Saddle top is reproduction leather Garford, perched on a 10s/20s Troxel chassis. Frame features collet style seat post clamp. All appears complete here with nice nickel on post and small bits.
