Snyder-built 28" - maybe at the Excelsior Mfg. Michigan City plant, which was closer (as the railroad flies) to Montgomery Ward in Chicago, than the easterly Little Falls NY Snyder Mfg. The serial number may help with a date guestimate; my system starts with an "A" in 1931.

Wards may have once bought from Great Western Mfg., until they closed (in mid 1920's?); then from A&S for a while; then from Westfield; then HP Snyder; then CWC; etc.; and often, from more than one manufacturer in the same year.
