Late-30's 26" motobike. Frame/fork only are original looking. For a couple of years back then when the 26-ers were pushing the 28-ers out of the market, they ran that 5/8" compression/wedgie thingy that allowed ONLY a 5/8" seatpost mast. These posts were/are prone to bending.

I have read that the odd seat post collet was a 1937 one year only thing; and somewhat surprised that Montgomery Ward continued offering double drop bar frame bikes so late.
Maybe it was one of the last ones.

1936 Snyder built Hawthorne, 26" triple step wheel on the rear. Front drop center is not correct. Chain guard, and saddle are not correct either. Front flat fender braces are correct, but the rear braces are not. It should have braced handle bars.

Not too much really. What is the serial number on the bottom of the crankcase?. Picture maybe? Might help.
