Finally riding a big boys bike
Mid-to-late 1930’s Snyder built, Crown badged tank bike.

All original condition. Paint was given a “chemical bath” to remove surface rust, then buffed and polished with professional auto body tools and supplies. Frame paint came back very nicely. sheet metal items (tank, fenders, chainguard) look decent but still show patina. Nice original pinstriping still visible on fenders and wheels.

All bearings that were removed for rust treatment were thoroughly cleaned and re-greased prior to installation.

“Coke bottle” grips.
Truss Rods.
Long-spring pre-war seat.
Original skip-tooth 26” X 2.125” balloon tire wheel set. New Departure rear hub. Needs one spoke for rear wheel.

Missing chain in photos but will find a useable one for it that will go with sale.

Minor rust-through in small section of bottom of one half of tank. (Probably a horn battery leaked acid at some point?)

Beautiful original ornate Crown badge.

Tons of patina! Great display piece or restoration candidate.

Put some new tires and tubes on this and ride as-is or go full restoration with this beautiful all original candidate.
You don’t find them like this everyday.

$400. Firm.

A few more pictures.

Also, just got a PM pointing out the bent fork. Yes, it is bent. However it can be straightened by a competent bike mechanic pretty easily.

Bike is in the Minneapolis Saint Paul area.
Prefer local pickup but will deliver to a bike shop of your choice for packaging/ shipping at your cost.

Hi CABE,

Is anyone close to this bike that would be happy to collect and pack this bike for shipping for me? I will arrange ALL shipping. I would rather a caber pack it than deal with a bike shop. I would happily pay for your time.

I'm very interested as I've got a matching color long tank Rollfast that this would look great next to.

Let me know.

Cheers

MrA

Wipe that thing down with some boiled linseed oil and watch what is left of that blue paint POP...............:)
Do that a couple times letting it soak in a little every time and it'll look a ton better.
A lot of bike for the $$$$ as long as that fork can be straightened.
