This bike was missing the front axle nuts and washers when I got the bike, so I put new ones on it. Aside from that, it is in "as found" condition. The stem wedge bolt is missing. I have not tried to remove the stem. I suspect it won't be easy. The seat post is not seized and adjusts properly. I'm guessing the year based upon the New Departure Model C coaster brake. I have not tried looking up the serial number.

What can you tell me about the condition of the wheels?
These older 24" sit high enough usually they compare well to a later model 26", so I'd be inclined to ride it when I got it back in shape.
It's one I'd definitely like to love and work with over time and patience but you're right that itd display nice as it is too.
A bike from 1930 (approx.) Couldnt have been cheap or easy to come by right at the cusp end of the Depression and during Prohibition.
