1930s bicycle rack?

I saw this die cast aluminum rack at an antique mall today. Described as 1930s bicycle rack. Is it a bicycle rack and what does it go to if it is?

That was my first thought then I looked on eBay and the rack listed as a silver king was different. Just did a google search and it does look a silver king rack and looks like I should have picked it up. Oh well maybe it’s still there.

The area it attaches to the seat post looks different than ones i found pictures of. I’ll see if it’s there tomorrow. If you don’t see me post about it you’ll know it was gone and I’ll be in the hall of shame.

Soooo... the early non streamlined silverking racks look like this, but... the mount is weird. Should go over the quill style seat post. I’ll post a picture of mine in a few.
