CannonCam

Look Ma, No Hands!
SOLD

Fresh barn pick. Have been told this is either a 30's C Model or Cycleplane frame. It's in pretty rough shape, it sat outside for a bit. Comes with "star" skiptooth crank, rear wheel and skip tooth cog, long spring saddle with no cover and setback seatpost, bars and stem. Fork has truss holders. Will need work but it's cool.

$350 shipped pretty firm at that. No trades.

the fender mounting arches seem a bit too high up in the rear fork areas to me to do any good at all for mounting the normally narrow fenders. something isn't ringing true Schwinn here. everything else seems Schwinn-even the 'arrowhead' paint scheme barely visible under the rust/patina seems right. I have seen many defective frames. these are not really 'defective' but poorly assembled at the factory-usually a new 'person's' welding/brazing errors. the 'defect' is caught thru the Schwinn quality control and the frame/bike are routed differently. the amount of money invested to this point when one of these is built is significant-so they squirt some paint on it-throw some wheels under it and sell it to the jobbers as a 'special'(greatly discounted). this may be one of those-if it is a Schwinn at all-if Schwinn it is a 'c' model(top bar flat for 6/7" back of headtube).
