1931 Raleigh Sports Tourist Model 37

I found this 1931 Raleigh in Cape Cod last fall and bought it for $50. Everything is there including the original Terry seat. I've spent the last few months disassembling the bike for a thorough cleaning. It is filthy and must looks to have had a rough life over it's 89 year life. I have several Raleigh Sports from the 60s but nothing this old.

I plan to ride it when the weather gets better. It's almost completely reassembled. I'll add new pictures when everything's done.

Wow. As Mike Wolf would say, that looks a little sweaty. Love to see pictures when it's done.

Here is the 1931 Raleigh. Finished it last night. It was way more work than I thought but I got it back together. Even got the chain guard to fit.

Now if only the weather would improve.
