1935 Hawthorne Ward value?

Hi all,
I have a 1935 Hawthorne Ward that I've "restored" to ride (see pictures). It's fun riding such a classic!

I have the original skip tooth crankset and wheels but the wheels are not rideable (hence building it up with more "modern" parts). I am playing with the thought of selling it but could use some feedback on it's value. Based on limited research, I think that it is worth $1000ish but would be open to learning from some experts out there.

I would think about half that to the right person. Probably worth more than that to you...

Can you post a pic of the serial number on the left rear wheel stay?

From the photos it looked wire brushed or gone over heavily with steel wool. Big no, no for the collectors. Sanding is worse. Sorry. . .

I wouldn't say restored, but custom. Girls bike, customized, sanded, not much collector value. I'd say maybe $300-ish.
Maybe a bit more if you live somewhere where riding bicycles is popular, and someone wanted it as a everyday rider due to it's uniqueness.
