Doesn't John have one of these Commanders as well. You can ask for picture reference/comparison of his crank.

I don't believe so. The correct one is wider & flatter near the center of the crank, then gradually peaks at the bends meant to clear a guard.

The later Colson cranks(38-on I believe) do not have much of a ridge. I have one at home I can dig out & post pics of. Most of our Colsons are pre '38, but there is a ladies 38 & 39 I can check to confirm my suspicion...

It looks like it has the correct profile. Kinda tough to tell tho. If it is correct, then I'd guess they changed the cranks in 39 or so.
