Finally riding a big boys bike
1937 Schwinn Men’s Tall Frame 20” seat tube, 6” head tube. SN# U57778. Crest Deluxe WW tires, worn and cracked, hold air pressure. Schwinn prewar fenders, mostly smooth, duck tail front, rear was lady’s with holes filled. Frame is original paint, fork, guard, and fenders added, patina appearance not too far off but doesn’t match. Meteor 3 pedals are weathered and straight. Bike has been gone through and rides nice and quiet. Coke bottle grips are good condition with small splits and chips at the fronts. Chrome drop centers look period correct, New Departure hubs, true enough to cruise, could be touched up. Lucky seven stem and Aerocycle seat with surface rust only, solid and not all misshapen, could benefit from adjustment, no cover. Miller stand is straight and solid with surface rust, holds bike up at a nice angle. Bike hasn’t been cleaned up much or polished. Wald #3 stem, bars are 28” wide and 11” handles, rusty and solid.
