Cruisin' on my Bluebird
Spring cleaning - Here is one I've been holding onto for a while & just haven't had the time to get to her - 1938 Colson Imperial - Olympic badge look NOS - Great Bicycle with key items here - Frame / Fork / Tank - what you see is what you get - The paint is real nice & it was professionally restored years ago to original colors with nice red pins between the yellow & black - this is NOT a rattle can job - with misc. chips here & there that could be touched up by any paint shop or pinstripe specialist - Tank is SOLID with no issues at all - black paint with faint signs of red pinstripes present & the tank WOULD chrome out beautifully if the new care takers chooses to chrome it for the full " Imperial " look - The complete bicycle is a pic I got of a Colson Imperial that sold at auction many years back -

FYI - The rubber tube on the downtube is to protect the frame

First - $650.00 SHIPPED anywhere in the continental US gets it -

Local sales I will discount shipping cost amount

PM me for best results

I will PM you back to confirm purchase & payment details - Paypal as a gift or add 3% for straight paypal purchase -

HI
Is the tank a snap tank or a screw tank? Also since it has a headbadge on the head tube dont think that this could be called a true Imperial?

It was restored to look like an Imperial as you can see ... take the badge off & touch it up then .. again purchased this way & it has the Imperial scheme - Tank is a snap tank - thanks for the questions - Frank

Nice Imperial paint scheme. 1938 was normally a screw tank - 1 year only tank. So as I understand it if the frame is dated 38 it should be a screw tank, unless perhaps it is a december of 38, then the factory may have put a snap tank on it.

Wow talk about beating a brother when he's down, just let the guy go ahead and sell his bike. I guess you must be the Spokesman for Colson! Go ahead and sell your bike Frank! I'm sure I'll catch some hell for this.

It is helpful when members point out things that are not correct so a possible buyer knows what he is getting or not getting.

I've seen the bike. That tank could be chromed. Its that nice. It would be awesome to build it up like the complete bike.

That use to be my bike. :)))

Even in my photo it didn't have the right tank. Needs to be pinch one. Some imperials could have a head badge along with a WF. It depends, but mostly I think they did not.
