Finally riding a big boys bike
Great Original 1939 Sears Elgin Twin 60 Bicycle, Has Always Just Been A Great Bike, Formerly of Don Vaughn's Collection, The bike originally came from Maine as I recall from Don, He was pretty darn excited to have found such a great piece that was such a time message. All the parts are originals. The Bluebird gooseneck, and pedals were rechromed, the chainguard is new old stock, the carrier was rechromed and the handlebars. The original Bluebird seat and handgrips are really nice originals, that's right, the plastic lense is probably a repro. The Musselman 2 speed Rear hub is period and is rare and works great. The grips only have 2 original rings on each one, no shower curtain rings, great original Allstate whitewall tires, the rolling speedo works. No touch up on the paint at all. The headbadge is really nice. I can't remember on the speedo basket if it is real. Pretty sure it is. It's just nice. I'll add more pics in a little, one shot shows a little black thing on the gooseneck. It is a magnet so you can be assured it's steel and not bronze. A serious bike for any great collection and not easy to find one this nice. $8500 plus $150 Fed Ex Shipping

Also the other day when Leon D. was over he mentioned the tank bar was mounted upside down. He's right. It would be a 10 minute fix.
