This is the first year Whizzer.They only built 500 of the D models.They were friction drive.This is an oniginal bike.It is a 1941 Schwinn that had all the bells and whistles.It is badges as a Duplex.It has a locking springer fork with original keys.It has the Schwinn front brake.The original paint wheels are almost mint.Killer paint scheme that you dont see very often.Marron and black with gold pinstripes.The original seat is super nice.The gas tank is in fantastic condition with the original decal and the original gas cap.The bike is in excellent condition.The motor runs.Its the nicest original that I have ever seen.The chainguard is the only piece that has been painted.Everything else is totally original.This has been in my collection for a long time and is one of my favorites.Wouldnt be for sale but having my shoulder replaced and need the money.I dont think you will ever see another one this nice for sale.A Model D kit that was missing several parts and had a tank that was not in good shape and did not have a bike with it went for $5000 on Ebay reciently.I want $6800 for this nice original complete bike.
