1940 Ace Hollywood

I finally have a Hollywood! This popped up on Marketplace near me. It’s equipped just like the 1940 catalog shows, with an Aft-Wheel drum brake, and a high flange front hub. After a 5-6 mile ride, I’m thinking that a single rear drum brake is a woefully inadequate setup. A rear coaster and a Fore-Wheel brake would’ve been a much safer arrangement. I may need to eventually find a correct front drum to make riding safer. I have a 6-hole prewar rack to add eventually. I think the handlebars and grips were replaced, and I have a white headlight cover for the front. To say I’m excited is an understatement.

That's a beauty! I have 41 Autocycle which had both front and rear Chops. I pulled the rear off and swapped in a New Departure for that very reason.
