A change in the direction of my collecting interests and a major health issue dictated selling off my Sears collection a while back. And this is the last of the lot. It's also the best. You might have seen it listed with the others - given a big reduction in my price, I thought a solo listing is in order. I've gotten conflicting opinions as to its year - some claim it's a '39. I think not. It's in very nice original condition...I've added new tires, tubes, and spokes. I was able to use all but two of the original nipples. I liked the length of the originals (19mm, if I remember correctly) - and I like original, anyway. The paint is very nice...the only exception to it being OG, is the headtube piece and the headlights. There was too much paint loss on them to suit me, so I glass-bead-blasted those pieces and color-matched them. I got them very close. One of the tail light lenses has a missing corner (see picture). The stop light switch is intact and untested. The tank compartment is very, very clean and also untested. There's a small seam seperation on the saddle (see picture). When I relaced the wheels, I serviced the hubs - never got around to the bottom bracket, though it spins freely with no apparent noise/malfunction. Overall, the bike shows very little wear - and no abuse. If you've ever wanted a Miss America, this bike is very close - and probably a few thousand cheaper for one in comparable condition. Much as I'd like to avoid it, I'm willing to box it up. I'm pretty good at it. The shipping would, of course, be the new caretaker's responsibility. Make me a reasonable offer. I'm located 50 miles NW of Chicago, and available to talk/show it 'most anytime. Thanks.
