New Mexico Brant

Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Being offered: 1940 Huffman built for Firestone Airflex lit big tank bike. A fantastic project bike, very solid rare tank. Here is the good, bad, and the ugly:
The frame, tank, fenders, chain guard, and handlebars are original to the bike. The bike comes with a used skip tooth chain, used Torrington 10 boys pedals with surface rust and slightly bent axles, spin freely, either an original fender ornament (with some condition issues) or an older NOS repop ornament; very good set of original tank light lens, an original 1940 correct Huffman kickstand (needs to be brazed or welded to the frame), red grips but not original or correct. Bike comes with painted Lobdell drop center rims (should be chrome to be correct for this bike) and the rear hub is not date or brand correct (tires are rough but maybe could be saved for display). The stem that came with the bike is included but I am not sure if it is factory correct.
The tank is very solid but does have dents (need to be massaged out) and a few additional holes someone added to bolt the tank on rather then struggle with the factory holes; the original horn button and electric switch are present (painted over), and all the correct OG internals are in the tank. The original chrome tank light lens bezels are present but are bent and need to be straighten if you decide to massage out the tank dents. The bike has a couple layers of over paint, some rust on the top bars and rear drop outs. Frame is solid and straight, does have a grease fitting that has been added to the bottom of the bottom bracket. Fenders do not have the original braces but these are available from John A; some denting on the fenders and extra brace holes and holes on the front fender where the ornament was moved forward at some point. The chain guard is OG to the bike and the correct 1940 one. Chain ring is not correct for a Firestone bike. NO seat post or seat but these are out there.

Overall a very solid example for someone who wants to do a restoration or a custom bike. Price: $3,800 shipped in USA, bike is in Santa Fe, NM. PP friends and family preferred. Please PM, text or call with questions: 717-554-2176. Kindly, Brant. Extra images to be added.
