Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Vintage early post war Schwinn Lightweights in the maroon and gold pinstripe
fashion. Ladies is a good solid project, missing the Sturmey archer shifter and
cable, I may have an aftermarket shifter here that would work and I could include
it. Missing one brake lever and the rear brake cable. Lobdell rims with period
tires, surface rust might clean up some, Ladies Mesinger Sliding rail saddle as
found on balloon bikes as well. Tapered kickstand on board so an early postwar model.
Also included is a solid and straight Mens frame I believe I have fenders for this
as well, has the locking fork and I think this one is a 1941 frame, has the deluxe
prewar Autocycle style headset in very nice shape...the locking fork has some
issues with the tumbler, not a big deal, maybe an easy fix. Ok orig paint that matches
the girls.
I was going to do a gender swap which is so popular now and trendy thanks to the media
and celebrity fan fare regarding the matter. I'll leave that operation up to the buyer.
Looking at 250.00 for both projects... Firm, both have the early Sturmey 3 speed hubs
with excellent chrome. Nice project! Wish I had the time to sort the 2 out.
