Wore out three sets of tires already!
Through the 1950s/60s and even into the 1970s, Schwinn chain-guard/fender attachment hardware was always the same. Rear fender brace attachment was a 1/4x20x1/2" bolt... 1/4x20x5/8 bolt when rear carrier mounted to tab, etc.

Question: Can owners of OG 1941 and 1946 advise if their hardware is the same; or, show pictures if it is indeed different? I not only want to know about threads/length; but, also the shape of the head. Also, when a New Departure rear brake was used... what did the brake arm strap look like? Thanking any and all advisors for your consideration and reply!

I'm sure the hardware is different- brackets attach differently from each other. Prewar is 2 bolts each bracket vs 1 on post war.
