Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
I have this complete original Westfield Sports roadster. I gave this bike a quick wipe down and have been riding it as is. This is a war time bike with many blackout parts and head badge delete. This bike is in great condition and all moving parts are free moving. This bike is in need of a complete service if you intend on riding it. The 26 inch wheels and the frame are nice and straight in great shape. I will carefully disassemble this bike and photograph it as I do and it will be well packed for safe shipping. Shipping actual cost. I will deliver this bike free within 90 miles of 12206.

Hi @coasterbrakejunkie1969

A nice original wartime bike (-:

W103912 / J11. Frame made November 1942, and bicycle built up at the same time.

It is interesting, because it is one of the first Westfields built with a W series number following the federal order below. You can also see that Westfield bicycle production (civilian and military) was limited to a total maximum of 6000 a month at this point, excepting increased military demand.

From my listing of known survivors, this bike is the earliest W known so far,. Although the order states that bikes will be marked W from September 42, this bike was made in November 42 following an order of G519 military bikes the previous months.

I hope this helps to sell a piece of history.

Best Regards,
