This was a fascinating read.

Just curious, and I know this would only relate to mint working examples, but how good are these fender-mounted lights in actual use? I assume they would take the usual 2.5V #14 bulb. Do the ones with lenses put out a decent beam spread at night? I know they're nothing compared to modern lighting, but they seemed awfully popular back in the day. Has anyone tried riding at night with one of these?
