Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Fantastic restoration job on this 1941 Schwinn Super Deluxe. Last year for the loaded Autocycle
run. Bicycle was purchased at a So Cal estate sale and I was told belonged to an "A" list Hollywood
Attorney who was down sizing a collection of nice stuff. Also mentioned the bike was restored
in the late 1980s or early 90s. No way to confirm this...and no information provided on who did
the restoration but honestly doesn't get any better with bicycle restoration than this.
Bike is a mind blower as far as "getting it right".. dead on Cobalt blue color match..
layout is completely accurate... Front and rear drum brakes, original Cross bar speedo bar is beautiful
with a restored head, buttons are EA repros, NOS Good year G3 Tires...all the appointments are as they should be and my
hats off to who ever restored this bicycle a long time ago and did their homework. Just a gorgeous
bicycle through and through... No damage, chips, scratches, patina etc. Stored indoors since
restoration obviously. In many ways the most beautiful of the Schwinn Autocycle line with all
the new features...guard, tank, flat profile Lobdell rims. A work of art! I can get more pictures
this was all I had from a while back on the phone.
