1943 Dayton Huffman WW2 Military issue Frame, Fork & Sprocket $900 OBO plus shipping from Southern California (Palmdale, CA)
Quick background on the frameset:
A buddie of mine has owned this bike since the 80s and didn’t know what it was for the longest time. He stripped it to bare metal, not knowing the “ugly green” was original OD green military paint. It was painted red over top so he thought the green was primer. Stripping the paint revealed the steel welds, a more revealing sign that the frame was something worth looking into, he eventually found realized it was a WW2 issue frame, but by this time all he had left of the original set up was the frame, fork and sprocket. He also mentioned to me that there is a a nut inside the steer tube to mount a fender. I’m not sure if that was correct.
Frame and fork are both dated 1943
