I've got a Pre-War December 1940 - January 1941 Cleveland Welding Co (Roadmaster) for sale. The bicycle has the original paint and decals from the selling store in Boise, Idaho (Nelson Sport Store). It still has the original license / registration information from the local Boise, ID police. Pedals, headlight (it works!) and rear fender all intact. This is a nice bike located in Spokane, WA. I am willing to ship anywhere and will provide individual shipping rates once an agreement is made with the prospective buyer. I am not a collector and don't really know what this bike is worth, but any reasonable offer will be considered. Feel free to contact me via email at blitzkegger@gmail.com or text 509.751.6723 (Rod)

I've done my best effort to try and identify this bike and represent it the best I can. There is a nice website --> Here <-- that shows the seatpost binder and fender bridge for Prewar that match up with this bike. Also, the serial number starting with H places this bike in Dec 40 or Jan 41 production time frame.

@dogdart The issue with lack of dropstand ears is unique for this very specific model as indicated on the vintageamericanbicycles.com website I referenced above it states "*Note–The ’40-1 “All American” prewar model did not have drop stand ‘ears’ but other frame indicators will identify this frame as prewar."

So it is my best estimate this Roadmaster is indeed one of the "All American" models only produced for two months in Dec 1940 and Jan 1941

The pre war All American is a different frame . The frame you have is known as a "3 gill". Your bike is also badged Roadmaster, not All American

@dogdart is pretty darn sharp, especially when it comes to CWC built bikes. There are other telltale signs this is not prewar, including the steel badge(not brass), wheelset, saddle. Nevertheless, a GREAT looking bike & well worth the asking price in my opinion. Good luck with your sale.

A All American bike ( different than a AA badge ) is a one off 2 yr only bike sold with a Hawthorn badge with a straight bar tank only for that 2 yr model, as said 3 gill is a completely different bike, I think it’s a late 46, still has a clamp on guard but the rims & badge are a little later, pedals are 50/60’s & seat is a 80’s but looks like a good project cool that it’s has Boise stamped into on the bottom.
