Working on a Lacks Flyer for a friend. Lacks was a Texas based auto parts store and the 1946 bike a Monark (?)Version
Being the hub has a date code O4 , I take that to be last quarter of 1946.
Question is what finish did this hub have? It was painted black, but I don't know if that was the original finish or not. It was not chrome that's certain.
Also certain this hub has black paint on it , not the black out WW2 finish(Ionization ?)
