I've had this bike for a long time, but haven't ridden it in a couple of years, so it's time to pass it along.

$1250 shipped / lower 48. Located in north Florida.

1947 Schwinn Continental. Original blue paint and decals. Fork, chain guard, chain ring, crank arms, and aluminum handle bar mount are original to the bike.

Modifications:

Aluminum 700 wheel set with 8 speed internal hub. Aftermarket bars. Brooks Cambium saddle. Gatorskin road tires. Alloy pedals with shoe guards. Currently has a set of stainless steel fenders on it (not shown in photo).

The bike is rock solid and slippery smooth. Very comfortable and very nice to ride.

If there is any real interest, I'll pull it out of the garage and post more photos. Thanks. :)

Well.. I dug it out of the garage, aired up the tires, and rode it… And now I don’t want to let go of it.

I used to be really big into collecting / rebuilding / riding vintage Schwinns. I had a couple dozen at least and this one was always my favorite. I actually sold it several years ago and later bought it back. I’m no longer active in the bike hobby, but I still like this one.

It was an all original bike when I got it, but it’s way more fun to ride with the 8 speed hub and modern wheels and tires.

Sorry for the false alarm.
