This antique bike is both very collectible and a great daily rider. I have been riding it around the city and it is smooth as can be.

Very few Raleigh bikes were imported from England before the 1960s so to have one from before 1950 is extremely rare. It is built to last as shown by the number of features original to the bike.

This bike has the original Dunlop Roadster tires on the original steel rims stamped with the Raleigh patent number.

The original oil-bath fully enclosed gear case or chaincase keeps the chain dirt free and well lubricated for less maintenance.

It has the original Brooks B66 Lady's model leather saddle. This seat is in good, authentic condition. It is very comfortable to sit on and has a wonderful patina!

It has the original Sturmey Archer AW three speed hub with patent dates listed and the manufacturing date of 49 I (January 1949). These 3 speed hubs are indestructible and with a little oil every so often will continue to function perfectly for another 65 years! This hub changes gears very smoothly using the original Sturmey Archer trigger shifter.

The paint is in great shape with minor rust consistent with use over the years. The chrome is also in overall good condition with small amounts of rust that could be easily cleaned off.

The front fender even has the patent registration number on the top of it!

The original rod brakes still work very well although one brake pad should be replaced.

The original (date stamp 48 11 for November 1948) Sturmey Archer Dynohub on the front wheel works very well and the lights turn on and off as they should.

This bike even has the original Raleigh logo on the front fork in chrome with red and blue paint.

The original Wald kickstand and the Juro bell are also in great shape.

The only things I can see that are not original are the electrical connectors on the wires. There is some damage to the rear fender and it is missing the rear reflector.

All in all a very rare, collectible bike in great shape for its age!
