Fresh from a barn in Illinois so the seller says. 1950 Schwinn Red Phantom I had planned on building and making a rider. Paint and plating was too weak to represent much so offering as a project build restoration etc.

Good frame, nice head badge, solid sound.
Excellent springer, early narrow struts, lock works, antique non-AS key heavy whizzer spring.
4 hole rack with early style steel switch taillight. Switch is frozen, guts are
fair to so-so, lens is good.
Straight deluxe guard with pitting and rough paint.
Tank is weak paint, fair orig chrome, 2 very very small splits in the metal where the fork comes in contact on one side only....about 1/4" and 1/8" minor...ok used horn
Decent sprocket, Wald Crank, rider quality or parts "AS" deluxe pedals.
Light cover has dings and dents.
Fenders are rough, rear is junk, front has potential but does have a 'rust blow out' behind the light cover rear fastener.
Pretty decent original Phantom handlebars (stem is broken missing bottom half)
Not shown, wheel set with dings, fair to poor shape, rider quality maybe
so so chrome but will include if they can be used.

With out wheels can probably Bike flight these parts for about 40-50 dollars depending on location.
With wheels box would be bigger and heavier probably 50-65

Just to clarify, I am no longer buying any parts so all of the ones that I had expressed interest in are still available- except for the tank which has previously sold.

I was going to do a Phantom conversion and buy the tank, rack, and fenders, etc. but now that the tank is no longer available (which I didn't know when I requested all of those parts) I no longer will be going ahead with the project.
