I am selling my Rare green black phantom.

1950 Schwinn Black Phantom bicycle

• Semi-restored original bike
• Serial number H161173, 3/22/1950
• Balloon-tire bike in rare green color
• Black Phantoms were generally black, red and the lesser seen was green
• Only tires have been replaced
• Original paint wear on the center bar
• Springer front fork
• Drum front brake
• Locking front fork
• Rear rack and taillight
• Messenger seat, tank with horn, front fender light and roll fast speedometer
• Rich kids bike in 1950

Phantoms were worth that much. I had to keep dropping the price on my 1950 until it finally sold for $1050. It had the drum brake up front also. No restored parts either.

Only the tires have been replaced! I am not a bike guy, I build high end Hot rods not Bikes I would sell it for $1900. I Will put it on Ebay by the end of the week...

Thanks for the clarification. These bikes can be a bit tricky since many have been spruced up with new parts from the 1995 repop Phantoms, especially fenders,tanks and other plated parts. Welcome to The Cabe & good luck with your sale.

Looks like the chrome on the tank was painted incorrectly as well?

Somebody did an amateur resto ? Chainguard is repainted and says Black Phantom.
