Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Fun Project that answered the question...WHAT to do with NOS original 1950s rare color Schwinn Hornet/DX
fenders sitting around collecting dust. Part of the problem with the collector mentality is hoarding cool stuff
that will probably never get used right?
Black and Red....KILLER combo for the Schwinn balloon era stuff ....So put to task building a bike
around the fenders.
There you have it. Restored wheel set, striped by Tom C, ND totally restored Model D brake, Schwinn
front...all new plating through out as in EVERYTHING done. Restored Mesinger saddle in very cool
natural grain leather... Schwinn Bottle cap (Panther ...Hornet etc) Pedals restored with new blocks...
Original NICE patina brass oval badge... Schwinn anniversary Typhoons for riding... American Flag
bell for ringing and annoying....vintage jet plane streamer... NOS Stimsonite #10 reflector...correct for
post war Schwinns. A very sweet ride that is essentially a "new" 1950 bike. Rides and looks like new..
Very minor shelf wear almost not worth mentioning on the NOS fenders.
Bike rides tight and right, like a part of your body.

1000.00 for a lot of good parts, time, plating and labor = a sweet ride for summer!

Can deliver to Cyclone Coasters ride Sunday or ship where ever!
