I wasn't looking for another bike, considering I just sold the '75 Raleigh Sprite and the '71 Raleigh Sports to one guy yesterday. I now had more room! And I wanted to start on the '78 Raleigh Tourist I got last week. And then this comes along...
About an hour from my house, it was well worth the ride. I had no idea it even had a locking fork until I got there (
with the original key stuck in it), so was a nice bonus. The guy who was selling it said he looked up the serial number , and it came back as November 1952. I'll look later, but it's the same year my wife and I were born, so another Bonus.
UPDATE...it's a 1950 thanks to
@GTs58 looking it up. Just changed the Title. Thanks!!
I haven't even taken the time to look in the light (
which still has the lens) or inside the tank. All in due time. It's home with me, and now another Project to start.
Enjoy the usual
barrage of photos!
