On Training Wheels
Hello everybody. I'm new to this so I'm sorry if I sound like a newbie. I restore and work on muscle cars and Hot Rods. This morning I found this beauty sitting next to a dumpster getting ready to be thrown away. Can anybody help me out on the model and ballpark of year this is? I'm looking to keep the patina and juat get it running. Judging by the Santa Monica registration sticker from 1958 I'm guessing it's around that year.

If anyone can help me out with the year and model of this BSA I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

There should be a date code on rear hub shell...
If it was a Sturmey-Archer hub there would be a date code, but is there a date code on BSA hubs? Either way, it's an interesting old bike, and with a Reynolds 531 decal it's one of the higher end models.

1955 or earlier.

1956 They used a Sturmey Archer hub, 1957 the BSA bicycle company was sold to Raleigh (TI). Then they were manufactured by Raleigh and branded BSA.

Could be a Regency or a Supereeze.

What does the sticker on the seat tube look like?

The one with the wings, on the silver background.
