Finally riding a big boys bike
"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder."

It couldn't be proven, but I'd bet there are more people who like your bike than don't.

There is only one question that really matters: would you ride it over to your girlfriends house after school?

Prices are dictated by what those will spend on any given product. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder what appeals to one may not to another. When these bicycles came from the factory, they were less than perfect as the paint and stripes were done by hand from my research. So imperfect. Schwinn was an innovator in bicycle paint & painting, with their paint being considered better than most others of the era. Some on here like the rust bucket Junkers that need everything and can't ride, others prefer all original bicycles which" I've yet to find to be true in my experience") It amazes me how much these sell for on here.
Obviously, the buyers really haven't restored or rebuilt a vintage or antique bicycle. Parts are very pricey and takes lots of work and sweat.
Bicycles are made to be enjoyed and ridden. Not stored away in a dark dreary place.
What this and other sites (my opinion) need is not critics but buyers of goods at reasonable prices. Peace & Love all!

That would make a really good handle for a new member, "Twisted Knickers."

I know an old member that fits the name perfectly, but won't say whom because he has already attempted to have me banned from CABE once this week already! 😄😄😄

Im a muscle car guy as well and while most vintage iron is under restored at times we see over restored. Better chrome, paint and orientation of parts than as it left the factory. They don’t judge well on a National Brand specific level but do very well at places like Muscle Car Nationals and in private sales because they are gorgeous next to a single stage enamel job with thin chrome, misaligned panels, overspray and bias tires. Maybe the bike is over restored? It’s gorgeous.

Yup, I agree with you! Some of the grumpy old pharts on this site take themselves WAAAAY to seriously. It doesn't take much for them to get their "knickers in a twist"!
the guy posted it with a barrage of BS hype...
extolling the 'quality' resto of a drugged out alkie loser in Minn who was marginal at best..
rare badge...blah blah... museum quality..
and out of the gate an insane asking price...3500?
I privately messaged the guy and he throws me under the bus publicly
typical.
bye bye to the seller and his "exagerated hype" bicycle
