1953 Huffy Convertible

I have been trying to buy this I believe 1953 Huffy Convertible for a couple of years. Persistent paid off today. I bought it from the original owner. He got it in 1953 for his birthday. It even came with the original training wheels.
Any information that you have on these bikes please share.

Where is it located? I didn’t see one. Is there a way to look them up like the Schwinn’s?

It's under the bottom bracket on a 53. All it will get you is the year. A year or 2 later, they moved it to the rear fork. Should start out "3H" for 1953, and you might want to post in the Huffman/Huffy serial number thread. "2H" for 1952 wouldn't surprise me in this case, but that's all wild speculation.

What are those oval washers under the rear axle nuts? Is that something to do with training wheels? If not, I am wondering if I am missing those on my 53 24 inch Huffy.

You were correct. It is a 2H so that means it’s a 1952.
I think those washers are probably part of the training wheels set up but that’s just a guess.
