I live for the CABE
Late 53' serial # early production Jaguar with double fender brackets.

This is a 1 year only bike!

It has been cleaned and waxed and even with the patina caused over the years, the paint still shines.

Front hub, steer tube, and crank have all been cleaned and greased.

Rear wheel, the outer bearings have been given heavy oil and a couple drops of lighter oil in the port. Pawls tick like you would expect. Did not want to get over my head and take it all the way down.
Both wheels spin easy and very close to true. Plating is gone, but they really don't show much rust, just bare.

Rides very smooth and feels solid. Definitely a great bike to take out and enjoy!

Obviously some paint loss, the cantilever bars show the most. The left cantilever looks to have 2 slight dings. Tried to point out in 2 photos.

Those bars are cool! Never seen those before. Looks like at least a 3.5" rise and almost a straight pull back.
I think they are 73ish Suburban or Twin handlebars. If that late they will have a date stamp. Possible the early Twins had these bars with no date stamp, but the bends and rise are clicking the memory banks more like the pair of Suburban Tourists I had.

I took the bars and stem out as a whole unit when cleaning this up. I'll take a look and see if there are any markings where the stem clamps on.
