Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
I have this that came from a '55 Phantom and has been rebuilt with some non correct parts. It came with a clover leaf sprocket not correct for '55 but correct for '59. Is this the correct crank for a '55? Any way to tell if this was the original?

The clover ring was only shown on the 1959 catalog images but that ring has been found on maybe 30% of the Phantoms that show up today. A 52 tooth Phantom ring was probably more than a youngster could handle on this full dress model. Hard to say if these came from the factory with the 46 T clover or if it was a common dealer swap out. None of the 50's cranks I've seen have been dated and just have the AS & CO and few other different markings some being a part number. Check out this piece.
