Call some bike shops in his area and see if they won't box it up, providing the seller will drop it off. Then you can get the dimensions and go to bike flight, get a shipping tag, email it to the bike shop and FedEx will pick it up.

That can get pretty pricey. By the time they charge you to disassemble and box it up.
