1962 Tiger project

So i'm picking up a '62 Tiger frame in a couple weeks that was described to me as "needing to be stripped and painted". One look at the picture and I realized it's actually not that bad, most of the green and white paint is still there with only a couple rust spots. An afternoon of elbow grease should get it shiny once more. All it's missing right now are pedals, wheels, and grips. What color grips should have been on it? Green to match paint? Or were they all black then? Also what rims should it have? I might just throw whatever I can on it to get it riding, but wouldn't mind having the correct parts on it.

Probably would have come with green grips, wheels would have been S7s

Excellent! That's what I figured, good to know for sure though! I'll post pictures once I get my hands on it

The 62 Tiger would have had white grips with the Schwinn in black, the rims would be S7s with Schwinn stamping in the center of the knurling. Jeff
