1963 Mainliner: Who Built It?

Finally got the new tires for the rims that came with the bike. Cleaned and polished the rims and got them mounted today. I'm happy with the results. Still can't decide whether or not to remove the rust from the other chrome parts, though I'm leaning toward leaving it as is.

Old faded paint - “patina” looks sooo cool with the other bits all cleaned up !! It just “Pops” that way - head turner !!

Here's a similar bike with a tank. Rack is different, though.

If one follows @Andrew Gorman suggested link, it looks like Huffman did supply its Mainliner bicycles to Sears.
Might have had a Vee-shaped sticker?

Yeah, I was surprised at how well they cleaned up, especially the front, which was pretty bad. Here’s before and after

A good coat of floor wax can postpone the inevitable, and keeping the waxed bike inside helps even more. Get a good floor wax with Carnuba . I've always used Johnson's but heard it went out of production lately. And again, floor wax not car wax.

Yes! More carnuba, harder to buff out and lasts longer in my experience.
