I recently purchased this bike mainly for the wheelset, having the 36 spoke center stamped rear S2 on it with an original tire. I took that and what I wanted off the bike. Not looking for a project so am selling what is left as shown (no wheelset, as shown). The frame is stamped M313905, forks stamped 1 + 4. So even though the frame is a 63, being a December stamp it could be called a 64 with a 63 stamped frame, do not want to get into that. Has the chrome kick stand which came in 64 I believe. Has a non Chicago badge. Bike is repainted poorly. I did not check the crank date. I rode this bike before taking off what I wanted, it rode well in my opinion. Comes with chain as shown, guard has a ding in it. I am in San Jose, California where it is to be picked up. If you are going to restore an early Stingray it used to be kind of cool to start with a 63 dated frame, maybe not so much anymore. No Shipping, local pickup only.
