1966 Moulton Stowaway Duomatic

I just finished refurbishing this 66 Moulton Stowaway with a duomatice hub. Runs solid and I love the simplicity of this bike. The two speed hub works perfect. This bike even came with the original wrench. The original paint on the frame is pretty good for 56 years old.

Interesting bike. The front fork looks thin compared to the frame tubes but with a shorter reach that may be all it needs. If it rides good then the concept works!

They certainly are interesting when u look closely at the frame and suspension design. .Alex Moulton built and sold thousands of them in the 60s in England so I think they worked and are still popular today. if you’re not familiar with Moultons i would recommend u give them a try sometime. I got hooked on them a few years ago. They are amazing bikes!

i think about 4 thousand of those 4 speeds were brought to the USA and quite a few have made their way to where I live in Canada.

Ah no…I only have 2 vintage Moultons right now plus one newer one.
