Sorry, NO SHIPPING, local pick up only. Dec 1968 per frame serial # MDXXXXXX. Original paint screens/decals. I recently ran across a very nice local collector that had a nice collection of Stingrays and parts, this being one of the bikes. All nice bikes, but there was only one in the large lot that I wanted for my collection. I made him a nice offer on the early Stingray I wanted, but he said he wanted it all sold as one lot. Since I do enjoy selling bikes as well as collecting them, we mad a deal on the lot telling him I would be selling off the other bikes which he said exactly I say when someone buys a bike from me in that saying once you buy it it is yours to do with it what you please. On that subject the only time I get a bit upset is when as it just happened recently someone comes to buy a krate from me, makes a big point of telling me it is for his son, it is exactly what he is looking for, blah, blah, then offers me less then we go back and forth on the price which is normal, agree on the the price, buys it. The very next day at 6AM at a swap I see him unloading the bike with some other bikes he has for sale. I look at him and said I guess your son got tired of the bike pretty fast. He looked at me for a while and then said he brought it for his son to ride around on. That may have been true, I just told him I do not care after I sell a bike what he has the buyer does with it and said if he can sell for a good or great profit no problem. So never cared or bothered to see what happened with the bike later on and maybe it was a rider for his son that day. I can't tell you the number of times people have looked at a bike I have for sale and start off by telling me they are on a fixed income and would I take X amount for the bike. I try to be nice and state I sympathize if you are on a fixed income, and if it hard to make ends meet perhaps the money can can better spent than on a collectible $1000 20" Stingray bike. I don't know what this all has to do with this bike I am selling, was in the hospital 5 days end of last month, maybe the meds are kicking in as I am feeling pretty good the last few days. Anyway bike has some scratches and nicks but original paint looks and shines well. Screen on guard is all original but light, probably weakest part of bike. Tires are non Schwinn tires. Fenders are real nice, shifts and stops well. Seat is really sharp. IMO a nice Stik shift bike for less than $600. Already have a great blue 3 speed Stingray I got from the original owner about 30 years ago along with his brother;s Dec 1967 Orange Krate, those were nice finds, so do not need this one. Sold most of the Stingray's in the lot I recently purchased, now this one hopefully is the next to go. No shipping, pick up from me in San Jose, CA. Contact me with any questions. Thanks.
