I'm not a seat expert but that seat does look a little "off" in color, for starters.

Per the 1969 catalog page:

...they show the 1969 models with a color-keyed sidewall on a Gripper Slik. I have a reproduction orange sidewall tire on mine and it's great, with all the original sidewall markings, etc., though it does run about $100 depending on where you buy it.

Looks like the seat may have been recovered with the correct material but the frame has been repainted with the wrong color that looks halfway between Kool Orange and Sunset Orange. Pretty obvious.

Its a seat off the 1998/99 reissue those have a Schwinn embossed on the bottom also the seat color is dead on to original. 100% better color than any recover!
