Riding a '37 Dayton Super Streamline
I picked up this crusty Paramount at Monroe because I like orange, chrome lugs, and it was cheap. A little small at 52cm for me but I can still ride it around. Out of my wheelhouse but can someone tell me which model and what would the correct pedals be? Does everything else look correct? Thanks, Shawn

So from what I gather this is a P10? Has a set of mis-matched rims/hubs. Front is a Weinmann rim 6-630-27 x 1 1/4 with a Schwinn Approved Deluxe hub made in France with an Atom skewer. Rear is a Rigida with a Shimano DG hub and Shimano skewer. Cinelli bars and stem, Campy Nuovo Record ('72) rear derailleur, Campy front derailleur, and Campy downtube shifters which look like they replaced something else. Campy crank and chain ring. Brooks b17 saddle. Looks like I could use a set of black Campy Superleggeri pedals w/Christophe toe clips and black leather strap. I'll probably just leave the wheelset as-is unless I luck into something. Any other info/suggestions much appreciated. Thanks, Shawn

thanks for purchasing and posting this wheel

saw a bit of it in one of the photos posted in the Monroe textile and wondered anent it

original wheels would have been Campag Record large flange thirty-six hole hubs with Weinmann wood-filled tubular rims

IIRC spokes would have been Robergel Trois Etoiles light gauge inox butted, laced 3X

gear block was Regina Oro 5V, drive chain was Regina Oro

its a plus that finish is opaque; should make it easy to tint up some touchup paint

Correct, and the large flange hubs had twice as many spoke holes in each flange. Some said they were lightening holes, but I had my doubts. It looked almost like the flanges were drilled for two different spoke gauges. I've not seen this on other Campagnolo hubs, only on Schwinn Paramount's.

Agree that the P13's had the fork end eyelets removed. We used to buy a small aluminum shouldered flange nut that fit into the triangle hole when we installed Blackburn racks on these models.

Campy high flange hubs can usually be polished to a beautiful shine and are correct too. Fine steel wool and wax should help the lugs to shine nicely but I am sure you already knew that based on your beautiful bikes. The 10 speeds have more parts on them than other types of bikes but can be rewarding to bring back to looking/ working good. Keep us up on your progress. Tim
