I'm pick'n up what you're laying down ... never seen a 1973 Pea and would like to see another, Anyone? ... could it have been a replacement frame?
I don't see why not. IIRC, warranty replacement frames could be ordered in any available color. As for whether it's really a 1973 Pea Picker and not someone's home-made creation, I would simply point out that the model had already been dropped from the consumer catalog at the end of 1972; the only models to continue, and only for just one more year, were the Apple Krate (red), Orange Krate and Lemon Peeler.

That, plus the hodge-podge of incorrect (did anyone mention the wrong pedals?) and hand-painted parts (that chainguard was nicely done, but still, hand-painted is not original) make this a nice but not convincing example of a model that didn't officially exist anyway.

Bitcoin millionaire buyers, they tell their buddies they bought another Stngray, don't mention it doesn't have 4 wheels.
Once upon a time, I thought it would be a hoot to have a Chevette. So (and I'm sure you see where this is headed) I could pick up girls at bars by offering a ride in my 'Vette.

Never saw that one through, but after I got a Harley Davidson...
